Mojave's girls basketball team forfeited its Feb. 9 game against Cimarron-Memorial due to the use of an ineligible player.
The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association announced Friday afternoon that the Rattlers vacated their victory over the Spartans, giving Cimarron its only victory of the season and changing the final standings in the Northwest League.
Mojave fell out of a three-way tie for second place with Legacy and Palo Verde at 11-5 and into a tie for fourth place with Arbor View at 10-6.
As a result, the Sunset Region playoffs have been re-bracketed.
Legacy won a tiebreaker over Palo Verde because the Longhorns won the second meeting between the teams and will host a quarterfinal game Tuesday.
Palo Verde is the No. 3 seed and will visit Sierra Vista.
Mojave won a tiebreaker over Arbor View for the No. 4 slot. The teams split, but Mojave's beaten opponents won more games than did Arbor View's giving Mojave the edge. The Rattlers will open the postseason Tuesday at Bishop Gorman.
