ROUNDUP: Smith scores twice as Bonanza boys blank Durango
Chad Smith scored two goals Friday as Bonanza's boys soccer team blanked visiting Durango, 4-0.
The Bengals led 1-0 at halftime, but broke open the match with three goals in the second half.
Johnny Rascon added a goal and two assists for Bonanza, and Robby Sagel had a goal and an assist.
Billy Sagel made four saves to earn the shutout.
Moapa Valley 2, White Pine 1 — At Overton, Will Sheldon scored two goals, including the winner with three minutes to play to help the Pirates top White Pine.
Peter Holloway scored for the Bobcats.
GIRLS
Moapa Valley 5, White Pine 3 — At Overton, Ashley Nevey scored all five of her team's goals in the first half, and the Pirates held off White Pine.
Shilo Parashonts had two assists for Moapa Valley.
Teal Collins scored all three goals for the Bobcats.
