ROUNDUP: Palo Verde moves into first place in Northwest League

Tori Lounsbery had 26 assists, 14 digs and eight kills Wednesday as Palo Verde’s girls volleyball team took over sole possession of first place in the Northwest League with a 25-19, 25-23, 14-25, 25-21 win at Centennial.
Jovana Sisovic added 18 kills, 15 digs and two blocks for the Panthers, who improved to 13-1 in league play. Wendy Gueorgiev had 17 digs, and Lauren Kennal added 11 assists, 10 digs and five kills for Palo Verde.
Morgan Vieira posted 23 assists, 11 digs and eight kills for Centennial, which fell to 13-2 in the league. Lacy Miyahira added 12 assists, 11 digs and five kills for the Bulldogs.  Centennial got a boost from Brooke Rogers, who had six kills, six digs and six aces, and Kaitlin Kelly added 11 digs, nine kills and five aces.
Faith Lutheran 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Hayley Washinsky had 11 kills, and Alex Treadwell added seven to lead the Crusaders to a 25-7, 25-15, 25-15 win over the Spartans.
Kelsey McCourt added 25 assists and seven digs for Faith Lutheran.
Leilani Blanco had seven kills and five digs for Cimarron, and Merrik Frost added 12 assists.
Shadow Ridge 3, Legacy 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Kylee Schraft had 14 kills, six aces and five digs to help lead the Mustangs to a 25-10, 25-17, 25-16 win over the Longhorns.
Rachel Childers had 27 assists, and Bailee Bradley added five aces and 11 digs for Shadow Ridge.
Sarah Winsor had four aces and Tia Matthews added three kills for the Longhorns.
Arbor View 3, Mojave 0 — At Arbor View, Tori Dunn had seven kills and seven digs to lead the Aggies to a 25-19, 25-12, 25-12 win over the Rattlers.
Paige Rajczi had 16 digs, and Cydney Bott added nine digs and five aces for Arbor View.
Bobbie Harris had 17 digs for the Rattlers.
 
Bishop Gorman 3, Bonanza 0— At Bonanza, Kylie Chun tallied 21 assists, and Liz Manthei had 13 digs to help the Gaels beat the Bengals 25-17, 25-17, 25-12.
Kylie Shaw added nine kills and Larissa Silcox five kills for Gorman.
Bree Hammel paced Bonanza with nine kills, four digs and three blocks, and Jessica Delp supplied 10 digs.
Desert Oasis 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Desert Oasis, Kelsey Motis had eight kills and 12 blocks to lead the Diamondbacks to a 25-11, 25-13, 25-16 win over the Grizzlies.
Pernille Svensson added three kills and four aces for Desert Oasis.
Shannon Larson had eight digs, and Chaw Tun added three kills for Spring Valley.
Durango 3, Western 0 — At Western, Cherelle Hicks had 17 kills, and Sarah Tullis dished out 24 assists to lead the Trailblazers to a 25-21, 25-17, 30-28 win over the Warriors.
Megan Tullis added 10 digs for Durango.
Michelle Simon led Western with 19 kills.
Sierra Vista 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, the visiting Mountain Lions posted a 26-24, 25-7, 25-17 win over the Chargers.
Virgin Valley 3, Pahrump Valley 2 — At Mesquite, Rachel Morris had 21 kills and Annie Biasi tallied 15 kills to help the Bulldogs outlast Pahrump, 25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 26-28, 15-12.
Sadie Leavitt had three aces and Maddie Bowler two for Virgin Valley.
Boulder City 3, Cheyenne 0— At Cheyenne, the visiting Eagles downed the Desert Shields 25-18, 25-13, 25-8.
Jamie Schaeffer led Cheyenne with eight assists.
