ROUNDUP: Coronado tops Silverado, falls to Foothill in tri-meet

It only took Coronado’s Michael Lasater 33 seconds to win by pin Wednesday at 103 pounds, helping the Cougars to a home-meet win of Silverado 45-35.

 

Lasater was one of six Coronado wrestlers to win by pin.

 

David Moss (130), Darren Klaharn (140), John Breese (145), Joseph Gale (160) and Gregory Odell (189) also registered pins for the Cougars.

Falcons top Coronado
At Coronado, Foothill won seven matches by pin en route to a 46-27 victory over the Cougars.

 

Sean Miller (103), Kayton Gomez (112), Zachary Steiber (119), Kyle Cole (125), Cody Harris (135), Chad Orum (145) and Jacob Ozuna (152) each won by pin for Foothill.

 

Steiber and Ozuna posted first-period pins.

Silverado tops Falcons
At Coronado, Silverado had four first-period pins in a 42-39 victory over Foothill.
