ROUNDUP: Muhammad nets five in Rancho rout
Jahmela Muhammad scored five goals Tuesday as Rancho’s girls soccer team routed visiting Valley, 8-0.
Cindy Hernandez, Fallyn Rollins and Alyssa Williams also tallied goals for Rancho. Hernandez added three assists.
Rachael Wiltshire made one save to earn the shutout.
Desert Pines 1, Canyon Springs 0 — At Desert Pines, Yadira Favela redirected a second-half corner kick by Anna Vides to lift the Jaguars past Canyon Springs.
Elvia Castro recorded the shutout for Desert Pines.
Eldorado 1, Las Vegas 1— At Las Vegas, the visiting Sundevils and the Wildcats played to a tie.
Dimonique Olaiz scored for Eldorado.
Sarah Cook notched Las Vegas’ goal.
Sunrise Mountain 1, Chaparral 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jeselle Odell scored a first-half goal on an assist from Crystal Corona, and the Miners went on to blank the Cowboys.
Aryn Bordman recorded the shutout for Sunrise Mountain.
Green Valley 8, Foothill 0 — At Foothill, Alyssa Rodriguez scored three goals to help the Gators whip the Falcons.
Gray Taylor added two goals, and Shannon Casey, Cayla Imahara and Kayla Varner had a goal apiece for Green Valley.
Nicole Westover registered the shutout for the Gators.
Silverado 4, Basic 0 — At Basic, Rachel Cooklin scored three goals to help Silverado down the Wolves.
Alexa Garcia also scored, and Elyssa Gallenbeck had two assists for the Skyhawks.
Samantha Lewis earned the shutout for Silverado.
Coronado 6, Liberty 0 — At Coronado, Sierra Klemm had two goals and an assist to help the Cougars top Liberty.
Branna Robinson added two goals, and Taylor Putzke and Sarah Pate had a goal apiece for Coronado.
Kaitlyn Fahrner and Joanna Roth combined on the shutout.
Tech 5, Del Sol 1— At Del Sol, Rachael Montoya scored twice to help the visiting Roadrunners beat the Dragons.
Jasmine Curiel, Maci Fix and Cara Fava each tallied a goal for Tech.
Senora Lankert scored the lone goal for Del Sol.
