Mojave downs Pahrump to earn first win

Mojave sophomore Clarence Prophet rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries to lead the Rattlers (1-2) over visiting Pahrump Valley (0-3) 14-7 on Thursday.

Prophet’s 8-yard TD run in the second quater helped Mojave take a 14-0 lead at the half.

Pahrump cut the lead to 14-7 on a 1-yard run by Kenneth Sager but could get no closer.

Junior running back Dajhan Celius rushed for 96 yards on eight carries to lead the Trojans.
