ROUNDUP: Faith Lutheran girls win two in Tournament of Champions

Meagan Hauser had a total of 25 kills on Friday to lead Faith Lutheran’s girls volleyball team to a 2-1 record at the Tournament of Champions in Phoenix.

Hauser had nine kills in a 25-11, 25-13 victory over Mesa (Ariz.). Hayley Washinsky also had nine kills against Mesa, and teammate Kelsey McCourt had 21 assists.

Hauser had nine kills and eight digs in a 29-27, 25-22 win over Horizon (Ariz.).

Washinksy had nine kills, and McCourt added 26 assists.

Faith Luthern lost its first match on Friday against Sandra Day O’Connor (Ariz.), 22-25, 18-25.

Hauser had seven kills and nine digs in that match.

The Crusaders improved to 3-3 in the tournament.

Boulder City 3, Pahrump Valley 2 — At Pahrump, Paxton Fleming had 36 assists, and Lexi Jorgensen had 11 kills to lead the

Eagles to a 17-25, 25-22, 25-20, 21-25, 15-6 win over the Trojans.

Kelsey Ripplinger added 45 digs for Boulder City.

Pahrump’s Ashley Lindgren had 25 assists, and teammate Sara Williams had nine blocks.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Round Mountain 0 — At Alamo, Dakota Day and Hallie Lewis each had six kills to lead the Panthers over the Knights, 25-7, 25-18, 25-13.

Addie Canning added 11 assists and 12 digs, and Kyla Mortensen had five kills for Pahranagat Valley.

Lincoln County 2-2, Mountain View 0-0 — At Mountain View, the Lynx swept a doubleheader from the Saints.

Lincoln County won the first match 25-18, 25-16, and took the second 25-14, 25-17.

Mountain View’s Charde Page finished with four kills, three blocks and three digs, and teammate Kristyn Gonzalez had four aces, two blocks and four digs.

White Pine 2-1, Needles 0-2 — At Ely, the Bobcats and Mustangs split two matches.

White Pine took the first match 25-19, 25-16.

Needles rallied to win the second, 25-16, 15-25, 15-13.
