ROUNDUP: Palo Verde boys top Centennial in Northwest showdown

Fernando Sunago went 3-0 in singles Wednesday to lead Palo Verde’s boys tennis team to an 11-7 win over visiting Centennial in a battle for first place in the Northwest League.
The doubles teams of Jeremy Mann and Amir Gray, and Pascal Nillsen and Tanner Berkabile each went 3-0 for Palo Verde, which improved to 8-0 overall, 6-0 in the Northwest. Dillon Casey and Zach Bellon went 2-0 in doubles for the Panthers.
J.C. Pauli, Travis Beck and Lucas Lee all went 2-1 in singles for Centennial (6-2, 5-1).
Shadow Ridge 13, Mojave 5 — At Mojave, the Mustangs posted a win over the Rattlers.
Mojave’s Timothy Bachman went 3-0 in singles.
Legacy 14, Cheyenne 4 — At Legacy, Lyman Chan went 3-0 in singles to lead the Longhorns past the Desert Shields.
Kevin Noorda and Keith Noorda went 3-0 in doubles for Legacy.
Andrew Graham and Morgan Sandberg went 2-1 in doubles for Cheyenne.
Faith Lutheran 10, Arbor View 8 — At Faith Lutheran, the Crusaders edged the Aggies.
The Meadows 11, Cimarron-Memorial 7 — At The Meadows, Max Novak went 3-0 in singles to help the Mustangs down Cimarron.
Bonanza 11, Bishop Gorman 7 — At Bonanza, Yang Yang went 3-0 in singles to help the Bengals beat the Gaels.
Craig Whiting and Cru Leavitt went 3-0 in doubles for Bonanza.
Kyle Del Rosario was 2-1 in singles for Gorman.
Clark 14, Desert Oasis 4 — At Clark, See Hoon Park went 2-0 in singles to lead the Chargers past the Diamondbacks.
The doubles teams of Richard Lee and Matt Lee, and Stephen Lin and Joseph Maloof each went 2-0 for Clark.
Max Goldman and Garrison Lopez-Quizon each went 2-1 in singles for Desert Oasis.
Sierra Vista 11, Virgin Valley 7— At Mesquite, Preston Miranda went 2-1 in singles to help the Lions beat the Bulldogs.
Stefano Aubry went 3-0 in singles for Virgin Valley, and Cody Cloes went 2-1.
Chaparral 15, Desert Pines 3— At Chaparral, the doubles team of Trevor Kofford and Edgar Munoz went 3-0, and Bryan Newman, Michael Golightly and Martelle Barlaw all went 3-0 in singles to help the Cowboys beat the Jaguars.
Danny Aguilar and Roberto Caton went 2-1 in doubles for Desert Pines.
Las Vegas 15, Canyon Springs 3 — At Canyon Springs, Luke Hansen and Tyler Crawford went 3-0 in doubles to pace the Wildcats past the Pioneers.
Josh Jones was 3-0 in singles for Canyon Springs.
Moapa Valley 17, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Sunrise Mountain, Ryan Bessey and Camden Stratton each went 3-0 in singles as the Pirates downed the Miners.
Rancho 11, Valley 7 — At Valley, Rancho held off the Vikings.
Durango 10, Eldorado 8 — At Eldorado, the doubles teams of Jeff Leavitt and Christian Pate, and Matt Leavitt and Marvin Pagayonan both went 3-0 to help the Trailblazers nip the Sundevils.
T.J. Swain and Alan Guerrero each went 3-0 in singles for Eldorado.
Spring Valley 12, Western 0 — At Western, the Grizzlies won by forfeit.
