ROUNDUP: Coronado boys top Tech, clinch share of Southeast League title

Kai Carl and John Berberich went 3-0 in doubles on Tuesday as Coronado’s boys tennis team clinched at least a share of the Southeast League title with a 16-2 home win over Tech.

The Cougars, 7-0 in the Southeast, can clinch the outright title with a win over Silverado on Wednesday, and will be the Southeast’s No. 1 seed in the Sunrise Region tournament, which begins Oct. 6.

Foothill 15, Del Sol 3 — At Foothill, John Qualls went 3-0 in singles to lead the Falcons in a rout over the Dragons.

Green Valley 11, Silverado 7 — At Silverado, Ryan Cosgrove and Connor Opdyke went 3-0 in doubles to lead the Gators over the Skyhawks.

Devon Morrissey went 3-0 in singles for Silverado.

Liberty 12, Basic 6 — At Liberty, Chrys Castro went 3-0 in singles to lead the Patriots over the Wolves.
Bryce Wellman and Corey Gilligan went 3-0 in doubles for Basic.

Arbor View 18, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Aggies’ Blake Chide, Brennan Truman, and Garrett Sepplal went 3-0 in singles in a shutout win over the Rattlers.

Palo Verde 12, The Meadows 6 — At Palo Verde, Fernando Sunago went 2-0 in singles to lead the Panthers over the Mustangs.

Palo Verde’s doubles teams of Zach Bellon and Dillon Casey, Jeremy Mann and Christian Clark, and Tanner Berkabile and Pascal Nillsen all went 2-0.

Evan Roth and Max Novak each went 2-1 in singles for The Meadows.

Centennial 17, Faith Lutheran 1 — At Faith Lutheran, Centennial rolled past the Crusaders.

Shadow Ridge 11, Cheyenne 7 — At Shadow Ridge, the doubles teams of Nick Guerrero and Sean Faughnan, and Bryce Jaggers and Brandon Taylor both went 2-1 to lead the Mustangs over the Desert Shields.

Josh Denton finished 3-0 in singles for Cheyenne.

Cimarron-Memorial 12, Legacy 6 — At Legacy, Pablo Osorio went 3-0 in singles and Aaron Bowers was 2-1 in singles to lead the Spartans over the Longhorns.

Kevin Noorda and Keith Noorda went 3-0 in doubles to lead Legacy.

Bishop Gorman 14, Durango 4 — At Bishop Gorman, Michael McIntosh went 3-0 in singles to lead the Gaels over the Trailblazers.

Kyle Del Rosario went 2-0 in singles, and Ryan Hidajat and Greg Giucci went 3-0 in doubles for Bishop Gorman.

Chris Pate and Jeff Leavitt went 2-1 in doubles for Durango.

Bonanza 15, Spring Valley 3 — At Spring Valley, Yang Yang went 3-0 in singles to lead the visiting Bengals over the Grizzlies.

Clark 16, Virgin Valley 2 — At Mesquite, See Hoon Park and Daniel Won each went 2-0 in singles play to lead the Chargers past the Bulldogs.

Matt Lee and James Kwan were 2-0 in doubles play for Clark.

Stefano Aubry went 2-1 in singles for Virgin Valley.

Sierra Vista 12, Western 0 — At Sierra Vista, the Mountain Lions won by forfeit.
