Carter leads Redmen over Virgin Valley

Jason Carter rushed for one touchdown and passed for another to help Cedar City (2-1) to a 27-0 home win over Virgin Valley.

Carter, who had 106 yards on six carries, scored on a 59-yard run in the first quarter. He followed with a 36-yard TD pass to Bradley Williams for a 13-0 lead.

Adam Rice, who supplied 116 yards on 23 carries, had a 2-yard touchdown run and McKay Ashdown supplied a 14-yard score.

Virgin Valley (0-2) was held to 135 yards, including 50 on 35 carries. Humberto Arias was 4-for-11 passing for 85 yards.
