ROUNDUP: Bonanza boys golf wins Southwest League event

Yongsoo Shin shot 2-over-par 74 on Tuesday to lead Bonanza to victory in a Southwest League meet at Rhodes Ranch.

The Bengals finished with a team score of 416. Pahrump Valley (419) was second and Bishop Gorman (427) third.

Pahrump’s Shane Lindemann finished second individually with a 79.

Vasquez medalist at 2A meet
At Black Mountain, Lake Mead’s Joey Vasquez shot 6-over 78 to earn medalist honors in a Class 2A Southern League meet.

He was followed by Tonopah’s Denver Otteson (86) and Mountain View’s Dennis Bee (90).

Needles won with a team score of 493, followed by The Meadows (524), Mountain View (525), Lake Mead (535) and Tonopah (562).

Stevens leads Boulder City past Foothill
At Boulder Creek, Nick Stevens carded a 4-over-par 40 to lead Boulder City to a 222-224 win over Foothill.

Marcus Nolasco led Foothill with a 39.

Arbor View edges Shadow Ridge
At Silverstone, Zane Thomas and Zack Kitchen each carded a 4-over-par 40 to lead Arbor View to a 224-231 win over Shadow Ridge.

Anthony Metzger led the Mustangs with a 41.
