ROUNDUP: Depth helps Virgin Valley win 3A Southern League meet

Virgin Valley placed three golfers in the top five Thursday at Falcon Ridge to win a Class 3A Southern League meet.
The Bulldogs, led by Aiden Sullivan’s 1-over-par 73, had a team score of 397. Faith Lutheran was second at 401, followed by Moapa Valley at 428.
Faith Lutheran’s Yuki Kato was the medalist with a 72.
Anthony Lucero added a 75 and Ryan Baeza a 79 for Virgin Valley.
Coronado downs Palo Verde
At Badlands, A.J. McInerney carded a 2-over 38 for the Cougars in their 199-215 dual-meet win over the Panthers.
Coronado’s Kevin Stratton and Palo Verde’s Nick Roman both shot 39.
Foothill edges Desert Oasis
At Primm, Bailey Rodgers carded a 38 and Marcus Nolasco a 39 as Foothill nipped Desert Oasis, 213-215.
Desert Oasis’ Steven Kennedy took medalist honors with a 2-under 34. Sounjae Baek added a 38 for the Diamondbacks.
Rowland helps Centennial down Arbor View
At Silverstone, Brad Rowland shot a par 36 to claim medalist honors as Centennial defeated Arbor View, 187-221.
Centennial’s Jake Barton and Greg Kerber each shot a 37.
Mark Agustin led the Aggies with a 39.
Green Valley nips Bonanza
At Legacy, Ryan Green shot a 2-over-par 38 to help Green Valley defeat Bonanza, 212-213.
