ROUNDUP: Chaparral outlasts Desert Pines in boys volleyball

LeAndre Dunbar had 23 kills and six blocks, and Carlos Chandia had 30 assists Monday to help Chaparral’s boys volleyball team rally for a 25-17, 11-25, 18-25, 25-19, 15-7 win at Desert Pines.
D.J. Grassie added 15 digs, and Wayne To’o served nine aces for the Cowboys.
Dalton Leilua had 13 kills and 17 digs for the Jaguars. Dominique Lawrence added 12 kills, and Isaako Atimalala had 16 digs.
Spring Valley 3, Durango 2 — At Durango, Khoa Nguyen had 13 kills and six blocks to lead the Grizzlies pas the Trailblazers, 21-25, 25-18, 23-25, 25-23, 15-13.
Thomas Ricca added nine kills and Dallas Teshima 27 assists for Spring Valley.
Velman Husic had 17 kills to lead Durango. Mark Brautigum (13 kills), Gary House (12 kills) and Jake Jackson (45 assists) also had solid matches for the Trailblazers.
Bishop Gorman 3, Western 1 — At Western, Bobby Houser had 32 kills to lead the Gaels to a 25-21, 25-16, 14-25, 25-15 road victory over the Warriors.
Ryan Parks added 15 kills, and Tim Carter had six kills and three aces for Gorman.
Clark 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Clark, Johnny Phane had eight kills and three aces to lead host Clark over Desert Oasis, 25-14, 25-18, 25-18.
Chris Henriksen added eight kills and two aces for the Chargers.
Kalvin Griengo led Desert Oasis with 12 assists.
Las Vegas 3, Valley 0 — At Las Vegas, Braeden Wilson had 14 kills and 10 digs to lead the Wildcats to a 25-8, 25-14, 25-16 sweep of the Vikings.
Las Vegas’ Danny Farias added 29 assists and eight digs, and Aaron Hansen contributed seven digs and six kills.
Rancho 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Kevin Plascencia had eight kills and 10 digs to lead the Rams to a 25-22, 25-8, 25-22 victory over the Sundevils.
Kevin Wadsworth added 11 assists, and Antonio Boucher had nine kills for Rancho.
Trey Pictum led the Sundevils with 13 assists and three blocks.
Silverado 3, Tech 0 — At Silverado, Jordan Royal had nine kills and five digs to lead the Skyhawks past the Roadrunners, 25-10, 25-21, 25-15.
Vinnie Gomez added three digs and three aces, and Shaun Burgess had six kills for the Skyhawks.
