ROUNDUP: Sierra Vista tops Pahrump Valley in girls basketball

Nicolette Grigsby scored all 19 of her points in the first three quarters Friday to lead Sierra Vista’s girls basketball team to a 56-41 home win over Pahrump Valley.

Jeanette Jackson added 14 points and Kim Rouzer 10 for the Lions.

Kristi Daffer led the Trojans with 15 points, and teammate Casey Scheller added 14.

Bishop Gorman 71, Western 28 — At Western, Chelsie Pitt scored 18 points for the Gaels in their win over the Warriors.

Michelle Simon scored 14 points for Western.

Durango 64, Spring Valley 33 — At Durango, Mia Bell had 26 points, five assists, five rebounds and five steals as the Trailblazers cruised to victory over Grizzlies.

Chyna Wimberly scored 11 points for Spring Valley.

Desert Oasis 41, Clark 24 — At Desert Oasis, Alexus Caulk scored 15 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead the Diamondbacks past the Chargers.

Desert Oasis had eight steals in the second half, which helped fuel a 17-2 third-quarter run. Auburn Smith added 10 points for the Diamondbacks.

Alicia Wilbert scored 11 points for Clark.

Arbor View 32, Shadow Ridge 28 — At Shadow Ridge, Jena Valenzuela had 10 points as the Aggies hung on to beat the Mustangs.

Shadow Ridge missed a potential tying 3-point shot with less than five seconds to play before Arbor View grabbed the rebound and made a free throw.

Niki Lawson led the Mustangs with 12 points.

Centennial 81, Legacy 32 — At Centennial, Johnna Brown had 20 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists for the Bulldogs, who outscored the Longhorns 51-17 in the middle two quarters.

Alexis Byrd added 16 points, Deanna Daniels 14, Ashley Klemz 12 and Courtney Hayes 11 for Centennial.

Breanah Manley led Legacy with 14 points.

Mojave 51, Cimarron-Memorial 45 — At Mojave, the Rattlers led 34-25 at halftime and held on to defeat the Spartans.

Ivionne Reece scored 11 points and Clarissa Cannon 10 for Mojave.

Catherine Wyre had a game-high 16 points for Cimarron.

Palo Verde 67, Cheyenne 37 — At Palo Verde, Jasmin Kiley scored 19 points and the Panthers cruised to victory over over the Desert Shields.

Shameka Smith scored 16 points and Hayley Henderson 14 for Palo Verde.

Amanda Fluker led Cheyenne with nine points.

Green Valley 47, Coronado 34 — At Green Valley, Jazmine Jarvis scored 10 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter to help the Gators down the Cougars.

Danielle Christenson had 14 points and Vajae Robinson 12 rebounds for Green Valley.

Jessica Smith and Courtney Whitaker each scored seven points for Coronado.

Silverado 63, Del Sol 33 — At Silverado, Shea Collins had 22 points and Mikayla Thielges 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Skyhawks past the Dragons.

Amy Austin led Del Sol with 22 points.

Liberty 65, Basic 29 — At Liberty, Amanda Delgado scored a game-high 17 points as the Patriots cruised to victory over the Wolves.

Daynice Cochran had 10 points and 10 rebounds and Destiny Whitehead 10 points for Liberty.

Noemi Hernandez led Basic with nine points.

Foothill 50, Tech 48 — At Foothill, Mercedes Starr scored 14 points, including a 6-for-6 effort from the free-throw line, for the Falcons in their win over the Roadrunners.

Chantelle Monga added 10 points for Foothill.

Cheryl Harless was 8-for-8 from the free-throw line and finished with 16 points for Tech. Mesha Phillips added 11 points and Julie Harless 10 for the Roadrunners.

La Jolla (Calif.) Country Day 34, Desert Pines 21 — At Desert Pines, MaLina Hood and Maya Hood each had 10 points to lead Country Day.

LaBrea Walker scored 11 points to pace the Jaguars.

Virgin Valley 40, Faith Lutheran 32 — At Mesquite, Ellie Biasi scored 11 points for the Bulldogs in their win over the Crusaders.

Madison Bowler and Rachel Morris each added 10 points for Virgin Valley.

Kelsey McCourt scored 12 points for Faith Lutheran.

Moapa Valley 46, Boulder City 36 — At Overton, Shilo Parashonts scored 12 points for the host Pirates, who outscored Boulder City 14-6 in both the second and third quarters.

Caley Dunlap added 11 points for Moapa Valley.

Caiti Forrester paced the Eagles with 22 points.

White Pine 46, Mountain View 44 — At Mountain View, Alex Hall scored 15 points to help the Bobcats nip the Saints in overtime.

Heather Hamilton and Teal Collins each scored 10 points for White Pine.

Ellie Markwardt led Mountain View with 20 points, and teammate Charde Page added 10 points and nine rebounds.

Needles 83, The Meadows 18 — At Needles, Calif., Gena Chavira led five double-figure scorers with 17 points and had eight rebounds, seven assists and six steals as Needles jumped to a 40-7 halftime lead and routed The Meadows.

Haley Laswell added 13 points and Miranda Brackett, Alex Chandler and Kristin Arthur 10 each for Needles.

Calvary Chapel 39, Agassi Prep 20 — At Calvary Chapel, Sammie Mann scored 14 of her 17 points in the second half and had nine rebounds as the Lions pulled away after taking a 12-8 halftime lead.

Larrisha Burrell led the Stars with nine points.

Lincoln County 72, West Wendover 41 — At Panaca, Marissa Smerek had 20 points, 10 rebounds and six steals to lead the Lynx to the win.

Melanie Florence added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Lincoln County.

Danika Sharp paced West Wendover with 22 points.

Lake Mead 44, Henderson International 20 — At Lake Mead, Jordan Clarke scored 16 points to lead the Eagles past the Wolverines.

Emily Dean added 11 points for Lake Mead, which led 22-9 at halftime.

Brittany Huff scored 10 points for Henderson International, which was 6-for-20 from the free-throw line.

Tonopah 51, Indian Springs 38 — At Tonopah, Alex Philips had 16 points and 20 rebounds to lead the Muckers to the win.

Tina Traster scored 18 points for Indian Springs.

Pahranagat Valley 63, Sandy Valley 6 — At Alamo, Dakota Day scored 12 points as the Panthers routed the Sidewinders.
