ROUNDUP: Valley girls roll past Eldorado

Vanessa Corona had 19 points, including 11 in the third quarter, and 11 rebounds as Valley downed visiting Eldorado 55-38 Friday.

Jazmine Powell had 12 points for Eldorado and Gianna Lafayette scored 10.

Canyon Springs 49, Chaparral 46 — At Canyon Springs, Diamond Broadus scored 15 points in the Pioneers’ win.

Janelle Terry’s two free throws gave Canyon Springs the lead with two minutes left. Kenosha Wright added 10 points for the Pioneers.

Chaparral’s Natriana Shorter scored 16, Nazzarah Lockett 15 and Desiree Pierce 12.

Las Vegas 45, Rancho 34 — At Rancho, Milana Jones scored 12 points as the Wildcats beat the Rams.

Tia Matthews added 10 points for Las Vegas.

Rancho’s Khalia Branch scored 22 points.

Centennial 75, Cimarron-Memorial 41 — At Cimarron, Alexis Byrd scored 21 points to help the Bulldogs lock up the Northwest League’s top seed for the Sunset Region playoffs with a win over the Spartans.

Deanna Daniels added 16, Shannon Brown 13 and Johnna Brown 12 for Centennial, which used its second-string players to start each half and trailed 13-6 after the first quarter.

Catherine Wyre led Cimarron with 15 points.

Cheyenne 46, Shadow Ridge 42 — At Cheyenne, Shaunice Cameron had 17 points and 12 rebounds, and the Desert Shields took a 30-19 halftime lead en route to the win.

Sabrina King added 13 points and Taryn Hicks 12 for Cheyenne.

Elisha Hensey led the Mustangs with 14 points, and Jessica Scarpati scored 11.

Legacy 46, Arbor View 35 — At Arbor View, Kindrea Poole scored 15 points to help the Longhorns defeat the Aggies.

Erika Lang and Jena Valenzuela each scored eight points for Arbor View.

Palo Verde 47, Mojave 37 — At Palo Verde, Jasmin Kiley scored 15 points, Hayley Henderson had 14 points and Meka Smith added 12 to lead the Panthers over the Rattlers.

Jazzmine Robinson scored 11 points and Shanae Ireland had 10 points to lead Mojave.

Silverado 58, Foothill 51 — At Silverado, Shea Collins scored 24 points and the Skyhawks held on to win after leading 53-33 through three quarters.

Mikayla Thielges had 12 points and nine rebounds and Alena Evans added 11 points and 11 rebounds for Silverado.

Mercedes Starr had 24 points on eight 3-pointers to lead the Falcons.

Coronado 49, Del Sol 29 — At Coronado, Stacy Rapp scored 16 points to help the Cougars defeat the Dragons.

Amy Austin led Del Sol with 18 points.

Green Valley 89, Liberty 57 — At Liberty, Aja Flippen scored 20 points and Danielle Christenson had 18 points to lead five players in double figures as the Gators cruised past the Patriots.

Sarah Pickus scored 14 points, Jazmine Jarvis 12 and Vajae Robinson 10 for Green Valley.

Jade Washington had 23 points and Destiny Whitehead scored 12 to lead Liberty.

Tech 47, Basic 42 — At Tech, Mesha Phillips scored 18 points, leading the Roadrunners past the Wolves.

Tech’s Julie Harless scored 11 and Cheryl Harless 10.

Basic’s Michaela Thomas scored 17 and Marissa Ross 10.

Virgin Valley 52, Moapa Valley 42 — At Mesquite, Rachel Morris tallied 15 points, 12 blocks and 12 rebounds as the Bulldogs clinched the 3A Southern League regular-season title.

Virgin Valley’s Shelby Brotherson scored 11 and Madison Bowler 10.

Moapa Valley’s Caley Dunlap scored 14 and Jessica Waite 11.

Boulder City 42, Faith Lutheran 37 — At Faith Lutheran, Caiti Forrester scored eight of the Eagles’ 11 points in the fourth quarter as Boulder City held off the Crusaders.

Forrester finished with 24 points as the Eagles overcame a 12-for-35 effort from the free-throw line.

Kelsey McCourt led Faith Lutheran with 16 points.

Mountain View 61, Agassi Prep 27 — At Mountain View, Ellie Markwardt scored 18 points in barely more than two quarters as the Saints built an early 23-3 lead and cruised past the Stars.

Patrice Marshall added 12 points for Mountain View.

Tamika Clark led Agassi Prep with 13 points.

Pahranagat Valley 63, Indian Springs 27 — At Indian Springs, Mary Higbee scored 12 points and Dakota Day had 11 to lead 13 players in the scoring column as the Panthers routed the Thunderbirds.

Karys Melgoza scored 14 points to lead Indian Springs.

Henderson international 33, Sandy Valley 11 — At Henderson International, Brittany Huff scored 11 points, and the host Wolverines bolted to a 12-0 first-quarter lead in a victory over the Sidewinders.

Lee Harrison added 18 rebounds for Henderson International.

Sandy Valley’s Aubrey Mahaffey had seven points.

Lund 48, Lake Mead 31 — At Lake Mead, Katie Whipple had 16 points as the Mustangs routed the Eagles.

Lund led 15-2 after one quarter and 28-6 at the half.
