Friday’s games at Rancho called off

Boys and girls basketball games between Canyon Springs and Rancho, scheduled for Friday, have been canceled.

Clark County School District executive director of athletics Ray Mathis said the games were canceled due to an altercation that took place at Rancho earlier Friday. The games were scheduled to be played at Rancho.

Because Friday is the final day of the regular season and the games currently have no impact on playoff seedings, Mathis said it's unlikely they'll be made up.
