Eldorado girls advance to meet Coronado in Sunrise final

Raquel Kinney rolled games of 235 and 218 in her 620 series Tuesday at The Orleans to help Eldorado's girls down Tech, 7-2 in a Sunrise Region semifinal.
The Sundevils advance to meet three-time defending state champion Coronado in the Sunrise final Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at The Orleans.
Gabriella Kinney added a 225 game and 517 series for the Sundevils.
Coronado was a 7-2 winner over Las Vegas in the other region semifinal. It was the first time this season the Cougars dropped a game.
Bonanza was a 9-0 winner Cimarron-Memorial, and Palo Verde downed Arbor View, 7-2 in the Sunset Region semifinals.
Bonanza's Hannah Chipman led all girls bowlers Tuesday with a 242 game and a 670 series. The Bengals will meet Palo Verde on Wednesday.
In boys action at the Orleans, defending state champion Silverado was a 7-2 winner over Green Valley,and Foothill — the Southeast League's No. 4 seed — pulled off its second straight upset, downing Coronado, 5-4 in the Sunrise semifinals.
In the Sunset semifinals, Shadow Ridge was a 7-2 winner over Clark, and Bonanza downed Bishop Gorman, 7-2.
Clark's Layne McDonald rolled a 279 game and a 732 series in a losing effort. Bryce Hackney had a 711 series for Shadow Ridge.
