ROUNDUP: Chaparral slips past Western

Chaparral’s Carlos Chandia had 30 assists, eight aces and four digs as the Cowboys outlasted visiting Western 19-25, 25-15, 25-23, 23-25, 15-10 on Wednesday night.
DeAndre Marshall added 15 kills for the Cowboys, and teammate LeAndre Dunbar had nine kills and four digs.
Palo Verde 3, Green Valley 2 — At Green Valley, Matt Lish had 32 assists to help the Panthers to a 21-15, 17-25, 25-19, 25-15, 15-6 victory over the Gators.
Shaun Carroll added 15 kills and Matt Phillips had 13 digs for Palo Verde.
Cameron Olsen led Green Valley with 17 kills and three aces.
Shadow Ridge 3, Las Vegas 1 — At Las Vegas, Jeremy Makaiwi had 48 assists to help the Mustangs to a 23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-17 victory over the Wildcats.
Ryan Nolan added 24 kills and Joe Pearson 11 for Shadow Ridge.
Danny Farias led Las Vegas with 45 assists. Braden Wilson added 10 kills and 14 digs.
Eldorado 3, Legacy 1 — At Legacy, Corey Harris had nine kills, seven digs and three blocks to lead the Sundevils to a 22-25, 25-20, 19-25, 26-24 win over the Longhorns.
Jesse Whinery added 14 assists, five kills and five aces and Tone Gatewood supplied seven blocks, four kills and five aces for Eldorado.
Trey Pictum had 16 assists and six kills for the Sundevils.
Ben Noel had 15 assists and Brandon Paquin had seven blocks and five kills for Legacy.
Silverado 3, Durango 0 — At Silverado, Preston Clipper had six kills and four aces and Rusty Santiago had 12 digs as the Skyhawks downed the Trailblazers, 25-15, 25-12, 25-13.
Casey Hadland added nine assists for Silverado.
Centennial 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Centennial, Jeff Mecham had 26 assists and five aces to help the Bulldogs to a 25-18, 25-14, 25-13 victory over the Grizzlies.
Centennial’s Ryan Raymond added seven kills and Matt Kurtz six digs.
Spring Valley’s Thomas Ricca had six kills, and Dallas Teshima added 15 assists.
Coronado 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Josh Dunkley had nine digs and David Hyer contributed three blocks as the Cougars beat the Mountain Lions, 25-22, 25-17, 25-15.
Zach Waldron had 18 assists for Sierra Vista.
