ROUNDUP: Orellana, Cheyenne sweep last three games to stun Legacy

Jose Orellana had 16 assists, five digs and two aces as Cheyenne’s boys volleyball team rallied for a 19-25, 22-25, 25-14, 25-20, 15-8 home victory over Legacy on Tuesday.

Brandon Jackson had seven kills and three blocks, and Ervin Leu seven kills and two blocks for the Desert Shields.

Ethan Ewing supplied 20 kills and two aces and Ben Noel 39 assists for Legacy.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Arbor View 1 — At Cimarron, Triton Manumaleuna had seven kills and nine digs, and Mario Bautista added six kills and seven digs as the Spartans beat the Aggies 25-22, 25-16, 20-25, 25-14.

Arbor View was led by Taylor Jones with 32 assists, Landon Steele with 17 kills and Ray Lewis with 14 kills.

Centennial 3, Palo Verde 0 — At Palo Verde, Matt Kurtz spiked 12 kills for the Bulldogs in their 25-18, 25-19, 25-14 victory over the Panthers.

Centennial’s Drew Staker had nine kills and Blake Davidson seven kills and three aces.

Palo Verde’s Matt Lish dished out 18 assists, and Shaun Carroll had eight kills. Kryston Manuirirgrangi contributed five kills and three blocks.

Shadow Ridge 3, Mojave 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Greg Smith and Jacob Bingham served eight aces each as the Mustangs swept Mojave, 25-10, 25-3, 25-10.

Coronado 3, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, Jordan Osmundson had three kills and three blocks for the Cougars in a 25-23, 25-14, 26-24 victory over the Skyhawks.

Silverado’s Casey Hadland had 23 assists and three digs. Brayden Olenslager and Christian Espina each had eight kills.

Green Valley 3, Tech 0 — At Green Valley, Taylor Mitchell had 18 assists and two aces, and Cameron Olsen supplied 11 kills as the Gators beat the Roadrunners 25-19, 25-21, 25-17.

Taylor Stewart had eight kills, and Dallas Halasnz added two kills and five aces for Green Valley.

Tech’s Johnny Wyrick contributed five kills, three aces and five blocks.

Del Sol 3, Basic 2 — At Del Sol, Daniel Belanger had 18 assists to help the Dragons hold off Basic, 25-21, 25-21, 17-25, 17-25, 15-11.

Eric Beil tallied seven kills and Zack Deittrick six for Del Sol.

Foothill 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Cody Clay had 12 kills and six digs, and F.J. Funtila powered eight kills to help the Falcons overtake the Patriots, 25-19, 25-19, 25-22.

Walter Coe had five kills and four blocks, and Brittain Rosenberg dished out 30 assists for Foothill.

Brendon Reano led Liberty with six kills and three blocks, and Paul Acluba had 13 assists.
