Gnadt, Laughlin girls win Shoe Run

Jessica Gnadt's first-place finish led the Laughlin girls cross country team to victory in the Shoe Run on Wednesday at Mountain View Park.

Gnadt won individually on the 3.1-mile course in 21 minutes, 42 seconds. She was followed by teammates Alexandra Condray in third (23:30), Chantel McDonald in fifth (23:59), Brenda Cortez in sixth (24:39) and Ashley Barton in seventh (24:59). The Cougars scored 22 points as a team, followed by Mohave (Ariz.) with 45 and River Valley (Ariz.) with 66.

In the boys race, Mohave won with 24 points, followed by Laughlin (37) and River Valley (72). The individual winner was Mohave's John Coretti in 18:20. Laughlin was led by Cody McGeshick, who took second in 18:48. The Cougars' Jorgen Davidson was fifth in 19:15.
