ROUNDUP: Williams, Hartle lead Centennial boys

Nathan Williams and Nick Hartle finished 1-2 one-two to lead Centennial’s boys to the team title in a four-team meet at Centennial.

Williams won the 2.6-mile race in 12 minutes, 55 seconds. Hartle was second in 13:00, and Foothill’s Carl Greene was third in 13:02.

Centennial finished with 29 points. Foothill (38) was second, followed by Moapa Valley (70) and Durango (111).

Adkins helps Las Vegas boys to win
At Sierra Vista, Aaron Adkins won a 2.5-mile race in 14:03 and helped Las Vegas’ boys win a three-team meet.

The Wildcats had a team score of 34. Sierra Vista (48) finished second, followed by Silverado (50).
Sierra Vista’s Mitchell Paul finished second in 14:21.

Barcenas leads Spring Valley boys past Del Sol
At Del Sol, Ricky Barcenas won a 2.4-mile race in 12:53 as Spring Valley defeated Del Sol, 24-35.

Del Sol’s Colin Smith was second in 13:11.

Mahar leads Shadow Ridge boys
At Faith Lutheran, Shadow Ridge’s Sammy Mahar won the 2.5-mile race in 13:21 to lead the Mustangs to a first place finish with 23 points.

Faith Lutheran (46) was second, followed by Legacy (82) and Pahrump Valley (88).

Shadow Ridge’s Jonathan Clark was second in 13:25.
