ROUNDUP: Late goal lifts Basic to soccer victory over Green Valley

Irving Cabrera broke a 1-1 tie with four minutes remaining Wednesday as the Basic boys soccer team defeated visiting Green Valley, 2-1.

Lex Freeman also scored for the Wolves.

Kyle Porterfield scored for Green Valley.

Tech 4, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, four players scored goals as the Roadrunners shut out the Skyhawks.

Carlos Martinez, Kevin Jimenez, Luis Carranza and Jose Guiza all had a goal for Tech.

Goalkeeper Edgar Preciado had the shutout for the Roadrunners.

Coronado 3, Foothill 2 — At Coronado, the Cougars overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit to down the Falcons.

Brock Morrison, Jake LeClaire and Anthony Loicanno each scored a goal for Coronado.

Christian Volesky and Drew Suites scored for Foothill.

Del Sol 9, Liberty 0 — At Del Sol, Chris Calderon and Miguel Tarin each had two goals and two assists as the Dragons built a 5-0 halftime lead and cruised past the Patriots.

Mario Ovalle also scored twice for Del Sol. Eric Beil, Miguel Castro and Jesus Villela each added a goal.

Gerardo Hernandez and Jorge Serrano combined on the shutout.

Centennial 7, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Kevin Rogge had three goals and an assist to help the Bulldogs rout the Mustangs.

Centennial’s Eric Christiansen added two goals, and Matt Kurtz and Richard Minaian each had one goal.

Damien Gajnieres scored Shadow Ridge’s goal.

Palo Verde 1, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Palo Verde scored on an own goal midway through the second half in a shutout win over the Aggies.

Colton McCann earned the shutout for the Panthers.

Legacy 3, Mojave 1 — At Legacy, Julio Uribe scored twice as the Longhorns beat the Rattlers.

Christian Rodriguez added a goal for Legacy.

Travis Cunningham scored for Mojave.

Cimarron-Memorial 0, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Alex Ramirez earned the shutout for the Spartans, and Aurelio Ramirez posted the shutout for the Desert Shields, as the teams played to a 0-0 tie.
