ROUNDUP: Rancho fends off Chaparral in girls volleyball

Rancho’s girls volleyball team overcame a 9-2 deficit in the deciding game on Tuesday night to down host Chaparral, 25-15, 23-25, 20-25, 25-19, 15-13.
Sara Arceneaux had 14 kills and 14 assists to lead the Rams. Aisha Momodu added five blocks and five kills, and Christine Lauby and Alexis Johnson each had nine kills and three blocks.
Jessica Colon led the Cowboys with 10 kills. Chaparral’s Kaylee Campo had eight kills and two blocks, and Rachel Tanner had 34 assists.
Valley 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Valley, Kersey Wahlquist had 12 assists and six ace as the Vikings defeated the Pioneers, 25-16, 25-14, 25-15.
Yesenia Garcia added five aces for Valley.
Las Vegas 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Las Vegas, Natresha Bernard had 11 kills and two blocks to help the Wildcats sweep the Jaguars, 25-4, 25-17, 25-19.
Las Vegas’ Tiffany Jackson had 29 assists, six digs and three aces, Ruth Wittig had 15 digs and three aces, and Danica Pickett had nine digs and eight kills.
Western 3, Spring Valley 1 — At Western, Michelle Simon had 26 kills to lead the Warriors to a 24-26, 25-23, 25-10, 25-12 win over the Grizzlies.
Daresheoun Lee added 22 kills for Western, and Megan Riggs had 55 assists.
Dominique Acevedo had five kills and seven digs to lead Spring Valley. Laura Perri added three kills and 20 assists for the Grizzlies.
Bishop Gorman 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, the Gaels dominated the Chargers, 25-10, 25-11, 25-7.
With the win, Gorman clinched the Southwest League title.
Durango 3, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Hayley Spelman had 27 kills, and Morgan Malone added 24 assists as the Trailblazers beat the Bengals, 25-20, 25-14, 25-22.
Bonanza’s Christin Figgins had 17 digs, and Shirley Pitts added five kills for the Bengals.
Pahrump Valley 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Pahrump, Shayna Smith had eight kills to help the Trojans defeat the Diamondbacks, 25-10, 25-13, 25-21.
Arlette Scott added nine assists, and Kristi Daffer had three aces for Pahrump.
Kelsey Motis led Desert Oasis with eight kills and three blocks, and Lenzi Cram had five blocks.
Trinity 3, Sandy Valley 0 — At Trinity, Sarah Njoroje had 10 kills, 10 assists and seven aces to lead the Thunder over the Sidewinders, 25-18, 25-20, 25-10.
Rachel Delaney added six aces and two kills for Trinity.
Henderson International 3, Indian Springs 0 — At Henderson International, Pamela Sakuma had 11 kills and four aces, and Fabi Pachas had seven kills and two aces as the Wolverines beat the Thunderbirds, 25-12, 25-15, 25-19.
Josette Dubois led Indian Springs with six digs and two kills.
