Phillips guides Boulder City past Crusaders, into third place

Boulder City's Jake Phillips ran for a touchdown and tossed two TD passes as the Eagles (5-3, 1-2 3A Southern League) defeated visiting Faith Lutheran (5-4, 0-3) 34-14 on Friday night.
Phillips threw a 40-yard TD pass to Shane Levin and an 18-yard TD pass to Jeremy Smith. Phillips also had an 18-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
Phillips completed 9 of 15 passes for 195 yards.
Boulder City’s Alex Dillon returned an interception 31 yards for a touchdown, and Joey Felsenfeld scored on a 15 yard run. Boulder City’s Spencer Sasarita rushed for 83 yards on 18 carries. The Eagles now are in third place in the Southern League.
Faith Lutheran quarterback Joe Portaro completed 15 of 35 passes for 202 yards and two TDs.
