ROUNDUP: Palo Verde volleyball beats Shadow Ridge, wraps up second place in Northwest

Nicole Gneiting had eight kills and nine digs Tuesday as Palo Verde locked up second place in the Northwest League with a 25-19, 21-25, 27-25, 25-16 win over visiting Shadow Ridge.
Ainsley Lovejoy added seven kills, five aces and three blocks for the Panthers, and Tori Lounsbery had 36 assists.
Kylee Schraft led Shadow Ridge with 22 kills and seven digs. Kelsey Tesoro added 12 kills and 16 digs, and teammate Brittany Meyer had 33 assists and five digs for the Mustangs.
Centennial 3, Mojave 0 — At Centennial, Johnna Brown had seven kills and three digs for the Bulldogs in their 25-5, 25-3, 25-9 win over the Rattlers.
Centennial clinched the Northwest League regular-season title.
The Bulldogs’ Jessica Baal had five digs, four aces and three kills. Mariah Gough added six kills and two aces, and Kayla Wilson had 22 assists, two blocks and two digs.
Legacy 3, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Kayla Murray had 10 kills, six blocks and three aces to help Legacy to a 25-23, 19-25, 27-25, 25-13 win over the Spartans.
Halle Champion had eight kills and three blocks for the Longhorns. Tawni Deboma added six kills.
Arbor View 3, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Tori Dunn had 10 kills and three blocks to help Arbor View to a 25-11, 19-25, 25-19, 25-15 win over the Desert Shields.
Maddie McCoy added seven kills and eight digs for the Aggies.
Shaunice Cameron had five assists for Cheyenne. Crystal Bonnets added three kills and three assists.
Basic 3, Foothill 2 — At Foothill, Amanda Weed had 16 assists, 12 kills and nine aces for the Wolves in their win against the Falcons 22-25, 25-11, 12-25, 25-20, 15-9.
Foothill’s Jessica Stevenson led in points with eight kills, three aces, nine digs and six blocks.
Basic’s Toni Couley had five kills and five digs, and Tara Patchett had eight kills, six digs and three blocks.
Roseanne Ritchie had eight digs and six assists for the Falcons. Jessica Heintz had 15 digs, four kills and two aces, and Christina Nash had eight assists.
Silverado 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, the Skyhawks swept the Patriots, 25-2, 25-7, 25-15.
Liberty’s Ali Fragoso finished with seven blocks and five kills.
Green Valley 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Jena Chavez had 25 assists in leading the Gators to a 25-17, 25-9, 25-16 victory over the Dragons.
Sydney Brozovich added eight kills, three blocks and three aces for Green Valley. Kadie Miller had 13 assists and four digs for Del Sol.
Coronado 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Cassie Baden had eight aces and six kills in the Cougars’ win against the Roadrunners.
Coronado’s Morgan Yuhas had six aces, and Hannah Safford had four kills.
Tech’s Daniela Gurgu finished with five aces and three blocks.
Faith Lutheran 3, Virgin Valley 2 — At Mesquite, Meagan Hauser had 14 kills and six digs as Faith Lutheran clinched at least a share of the Class 3A regular-season title with a 24-26, 14-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-9 win over Virgin Valley.
Katy Trollier and Sam Engel each added eight digs for the Crusaders, with Trollier also serving five aces. Hayley Washinsky had eight kills.
Faith Lutheran finished 5-1 in league play. Moapa Valley (4-1) plays at Virgin Valley on Thursday and could tie the Crusaders for first.
Boulder City 3, Mountain View 0 — At Mountain View, the Eagles swept the Saints, 25-15, 25-14, 25-18.
Charde Page had seven kills and six blocks, and Zari Riley had five kills for Mountain View. Kristyn Gonzales and Felicia Joiner each had three kills for the Saints.
Calvary Chapel 3, Sandy Valley 0 — At Calvary Chapel, Jamie Bearden had eight assists and six aces to help the Lions to a 25-13, 25-10, 25-12 win over Sandy Valley.
Lauren Feigler added six kills for Calvary Chapel. Jordan Strong had six aces and three kills. Treasure Brown had five assists, and Brettani Davis added seven digs.
Lake Mead 3, Henderson International 0 — At Henderson International, Jessica Rinaldi’s 21 assists and five digs helped Lake Mead to a 25-10, 25-13, 25-12 win over the Wolverines.
Ashley Newton had eight kills and eight digs. Sam Herman had eight kills. Amanda Wellman added seven kills, four digs and three aces. Jordan Clarke and Jocelyn Cox each had four aces and three digs.
Pam Sakuma had three kills and nine digs for the Wolverines. Lee Harrison added five blocks.
Trinity 3, Indian Springs 1 — At Indian Springs, Trinity defeated the Thunderbirds 25-20, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20 to clinch a playoff spot in the 1A Southern League.
Tina Traster and Josette DuBois each had four digs for Indian Springs. Cherish Malden added three digs, and Shayen Faga had three aces. Jessica O’Dell served four aces for the Thunderbirds.
