ROUNDUP: Legacy girls tops Basic in overtime

Kindrea Poole had 10 points to lead Legacy’s girls basketball team to a 49-47 overtime victory over host Basic on Wednesday.

Breana Watkins added nine points for the Longhorns, who outscored Basic 15-11 in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Basic’s Michaela Thomas had 18 points and 13 rebounds. Karmisha Richardson added 13 points and Marquichea Burns 12 for the Wolves.

Coronado 50, Valley 38  — At Valley, Sarah Dexter scored 14 points, and the Cougars came alive in the second half, outscoring the Vikings 33-17 to post the win.

Stacy Rapp added 13 points and Nicole Ruffino 10 for Coronado.

Iris Barahona led Valley with 15 points. Vanessa Corona grabbed 11 rebounds for the Vikings.

Silverado 66, Cheyenne 38  — At Cheyenne, Mikayla Thielges had 18 points and seven rebounds to lead the Skyhawks.

Shea Collins had 12 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Skyhawks, who led 32-17 at the half.

Silverado’s Natalie Lainhart had 12 points and nine rebounds, and teammate Alena Evans had 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Henderson International 29, The Meadows 26 — At Henderson International, Brittany Huff sank four 3-pointers and totaled 20 points to help the Wolverines post their first win of the season.

Henderson International (1-4) built a 26-14 lead after three quarters and withstood a fourth-quarter rally by the Mustangs.
