ROUNDUP: Mojave tops Foothill in overtime in boys basketball

Anthony Marshall scored seven of Mojave’s nine points in overtime and finished with a triple-double Friday night as host Mojave nipped Foothill 70-69 in overtime in boys basketball.

Marshall had 32 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists.

Foothill’s Evan Roquemore sent the game to overtime when he made a 3-point shot with 10 seconds left in regulation. Roquemore finished with 24 points.

Kevin James had 23 points and 13 rebounds and Brandon Birdsong 10 points and eight rebounds for Mojave.

Coronado 86, Bonanza 81 — At Coronado, Charlie Wakefield scored a game-high 33 points to fuel the Cougars over the Bengals.

Coronado closed the game on a 30-19 run.

Austin Nelson had 18 points and eight assists for Coronado. Brandon Glanz scored 11 and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Cougars.

Arin Matt led the Bengals with 23 points. Andrew Whiting scored 20 points and John Grady 17 for Bonanza.

Arbor View 80, Chaparral 67 — At Chaparral, senior forward James Graham scored a game-high 24 points to help the Aggies top the Cowboys.

After falling behind 41-31 at half, Arbor View went on a 21-6 run and never looked back.

Mascei Grier scored 16 points for the Aggies, including going 14-for-14 on free throws. Darington Banks scored 15 points and Kenny Mack 12 for Arbor View.

Jerome Young scored 17 points, Chris Goodloe 14 and Chris McCraney 10 for Chaparral.

Cheyenne 70, Canyon Springs 67 — At Canyon Springs, J’Quon Wroten made two free throws in the closing seconds to seal the Desert Shields’ the win over the Pioneers.

Wroten finished with 14 points. Elijah Johnson scored a team-high 15 points, Jaylen Henry 13 and Chris McCall 10 for Cheyenne.

Terence Stanley scored a game-high 17 points for Canyon Springs, and Chris Willis and Jeremy Alexander each added 13 for the Pioneers.

Eldorado 61, Western 58 — At Eldorado, the Sundevils made 19 of 22 free throws to hold on to their lead against Western, which nearly rallied from a nine-point deficit.

Eldorado’s Mitrell Clark scored a game-high 21 points. Marcus Moreland had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Charles White 11 points for the Sundevils.

Johnnie Diggs had 18 points and Melvin Washington eight blocks for Western.

Cimarron-Memorial 82, Del Sol 73 — At Del Sol, Kevin Olekaibe scored a game-high 24 points as the Spartans downed the Dragons.

Andre Vickers added 14 points for the Spartans, and teammates Dale Puckett and Ben Dorsey each had 12.

Del Sol stayed close the entire way but didn’t help its cause by shooting 12-for-25 on free throws.

Chris Sanders led the Dragons with 21 points and 11 rebounds. 

Jeff Coon added 17 points, Anthony Marshall 15 and Devonte Gilmore 14 for Del Sol.

Centennial 59, Pine View (Utah) 53 — At Pine View, Utah, Beau Scarlett scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Bulldogs over the Panthers in double overtime.

Scarlett sent the game into the first overtime by hitting two free throws with seven seconds left in the fourth quarter.

After a back-and-forth first overtime, the Bulldogs went 5-for-6 on free throws during the second overtime and held Pine View to one point.

Ben Vozzola added 13 points and Matt Holley 12 for the Bulldogs.

Dustin Odoridzi led the Panthers with 13 points.

Timpanogos (Utah) 59, Legacy 47 — At the Swish Tournament in Cedar City, Utah, the Longhorns lost their opening game despite 16 points from Sam Johnson.

Durango 57, Community Charter (Calif.) 56 — At Durango, Glenn Pulliam made a free throw with 4.5 seconds left to lift the Trailblazers over Community Charter.

Marcus Falley scored 23 points, Greg Gentry 10 and Pulliam nine for Durango.

Jermaine Dansby led Community Charter with 16 points.

Desert Oasis 70, Boulder City 64 — At Desert Oasis, Cameron Jefferson had 17 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks to lead the Diamondbacks over the Eagles.

Cameron Mich’l had 19 points and five rebounds and Nick Cruz 18 points for Desert Oasis.

Joey Western had 21 points and Joey Felsenfeld 16 for Boulder City.

Agassi Prep 62, Oasis Christian 57 — At Agassi Prep, DeShawn Battle scored 20 points for the Stars, who built a 39-24 lead en route to a win over Oasis Christian.

Aerontay Shepherd added 17 points for Agassi Prep. Jacoby Whitehead added 11 points and Quincy Brown 10 points and 14 rebounds for the Stars.

Tyler Harris had 20 points, Christian Detmers 17 and Jason Caberlas 14 for Oasis Christian.

Needles 69, River Valley (Ariz.) 45 — At Needles, Darra Russell registered his fifth consecutive double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds to help the Mustangs down River Valley.

Stevie Kidd had 17 points and 10 assists and Daniel Solomon 15 points for Needles.

Virgin Valley 61, The Meadows 51 — At The Meadows, the Bulldogs outscored the Mustangs 28-11 in the fourth quarter on their way to the win.

Terran Leavitt had 20 points and Jason Wittwer 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists for Virgin Valley.

The Meadows had only eight players active. Three fouled out, leaving the Mustangs with no extra players for the game’s final three minutes.

Enterprise (Utah) 64, Moapa Valley 53 — At Overton, the Pirates lost after being outscored 18-8 in the second quarter.

Max Jenkins scored 18 points to lead Moapa Valley, which got 15 points from Zach Geary and 12 from Shaun Hilton.

Bishop Manogue 101, Faith Lutheran 91 — At the Douglas Tournament, Robert Hunter poured in 41 points to lead the Miners in a high-octane game.

Brett Lubbe had 24 points and 10 rebounds for Faith Lutheran, which led 49-46 at the half.

Taylor Jantz scored 22 points, Chase Saunders 19 and John Anger 14 for the Crusaders.

Mountain View 45, Tonopah 43 — At the Eureka Invitational in Eureka, Justyn Anderson scored 17 points to help the Saints hold off Tonopah.

Raymond Velarde scored 13 points, including two free throws with six seconds left that gave Mountain View a 45-41 lead. Cortland LeBoeuf added 10 points for the Saints.

Roberto Miramontes and Scott Thibodeaux each had 12 points for the Muckers.

In the Pahrump Valley Cage Classic:
Silverado 90, Horizon 28 — At Pahrump, Ruben Jackson had 21 points as the Skyhawks won their third game in the tournament.

Tristian Craig added 19 points, David Lutomski 18 and Gabe Simmons 17 for the Skyhawks.

Pahrump Valley 52, Spring Mountain 32 — Mike Amburgey had 14 points to lead the Trojans over the Golden Eagles.

Marvin Weekly added 12 points for Pahrump, which led 23-8 after one quarter.

Fremont American (Calif.) 63, Pahrump Valley 44 — At Fremont, Rabbie Mojaddidi had 22 points to lead Fremont to the win.

Tyler True led Pahrump with 14 points, and Weekly scored 13.

Beatty 42, Spring Mountain 40 — The Hornets edged the Golden Eagles to move to 2-1 in the tournament.

In the Lund/White Pine Warm-up in Ely:
Pahranagat Valley 52, Round Mountain 34 — Cody Hoiser scored 17 points and Taylor Poulsen 16 for Pahranagat Valley, which led 26-16 at halftime. The Panthers shot 16-for-22 on free throws.

Clint Wilson had 17 points for Round Mountain, which was 5-for-19 at the line.

Pahranagat Valley 57, White Pine 40 — Poulsen had 11 points and 12 rebounds to lead Pahranagat Valley, which got 16 points and nine assists from Hoiser.

Brady Whipple added 16 points and Tommy Williams 10 for the Panthers.

Wade Wilkinson had 14 points and Michael Johnson 10 for White Pine.

Indian Springs 54, The Meadows JV 37 — At The Meadows, the Thunderbirds led 19-8 after the first quarter and never looked back.

Junior Baker scored 26 points and Brady Hughes 10 for Indian Springs.

Hughes pulled down 12 rebounds.
