ROUNDUP: Shadow Ridge edges Canyon Springs in tiebreaker in girls tennis

Host Shadow Ridge needed a tiebreaker Thursday to hold off Canyon Springs, 10-9, in a girls tennis match.

The doubles teams of Amelia Terry and Debra Hogue, and Catherine Cabo and Anisha Kihlnani both finished 3-0 for Shadow Ridge.

Rebecca Breland, who finished 3-0 in singles, led Canyon Springs.

Faith Lutheran 18, Western 0 — At Western, Faith Lutheran’s Nikki Pizzoferato, Angela DiPasquale and Olivia Demarta each won a singles match, and the Crusaders posted a shutout for the program’s first win.

Palo Verde 10, Coronado 8 — At Coronado, Maia Bernick went 3-0 in singles, and Nikki Booth and Shelby Zepeda teamed to go 3-0 to lead the Panthers over the Cougars.

Casey Thevenot went 1-0 in singles, and Jordan Luna teamed with Jordan Bruy to go 2-1 in doubles for Coronado.

The doubles teams of Ilyssa Popowcer and Liz Gibbons, and Hillary Johnson and Haley Johnson each went 2-1 for the Cougars.

Eldorado 11, Tech 7 — At Tech, Rochelle Casino was 3-0 in singles to help the Sundevils defeat the Roadrunners.

Priscilla Sanchez and Alexa Sanchez went 3-0 in doubles for Tech.

Centennial 11, Spring Valley 7 — At Spring Valley, the Bulldogs were substitute-heavy in their victory against the Grizzlies.

Claire Brantley went 3-0 in singles for Spring Valley.

Del Sol 11, Chaparral 7 — At Chaparral, Maria Spalla was 3-0 in singles to lead the Dragons over the Cowboys.

Katie Fisher and Haley Turner went 3-0 in doubles for Del Sol. Chaparral’s Kelley Terry was 2-1 in singles.

Clark 17, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, Monika Chakoarova was 2-0 in singles to help the Chargers defeat the Jaguars.

Bonanza 13, The Meadows 5 — At Bonanza, Christina Smith went 2-1 in singles to help the Bengals down The Meadows.

The doubles teams of Samantha Niemand and Chelsea Chappell, and Gretchil Ocanada and Bella Minoli went 2-1 for the Bengals.

Laura Yee and Shilpa Daulit went 2-1 in doubles for the Mustangs.

Silverado 15, Cheyenne 3 — At Silverado, Kristen Santero, Nicole Santero and Ashley Newell each went 2-0 in singles to lift the Skyhawks past Cheyenne.

Liberty 10, Sierra Vista 8 — At Sierra Vista, Erika De Los Santos and Marlee Moimoi went 3-0 in doubles to help the Patriots nose past Sierra Vista.

Courtney Sanstrum and Terina Terlizzi each went 3-0 in singles for the Mountain Lions.

Desert Oasis 10, Foothill 8 — At Desert Oasis, the Diamondbacks edged the Falcons as Danica Ingwaldson and Lauren Lightfoot each went 3-0 in singles.

Cimarron-Memorial 10, Las Vegas 9 — At Las Vegas, Cameron Tatz and Aaron Bowers each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Spartans over the Wildcats.

Cimarron won the tiebreaker 4-2.

Arbor View 18, Rancho 0 — At Arbor View, Chloe Mazzeo, Lacy Olsen and Taylor Savage each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Aggies’ sweep of Rancho.

The doubles teams of Taylor Bland and TaKeyrah Reid, and Alexis Bridges and Beth Ignatiuck also went 3-0.

Basic 16, Mojave 2 — At Mojave, the Wolves rolled behind 2-0 singles showings from Michelle Petty and Marissa Ross.

Moapa Valley 15, Boulder City 3 — At Boulder City, the Pirates pulled away to a big win.

Bishop Gorman 13, Green Valley 5 — At Bishop Gorman, the Gaels pulled away from the Gators.

Valley 18, Legacy 0 — At Valley, the Vikings were forfeit winners. Legacy did not attend the match.
