ROUNDUP: Del Sol’s Hernandez scores four goals in Dragons’ boys soccer victory

Del Sol’s Darin Hernandez had four goals and an assist as the Dragons sprinted to a 5-0 halftime edge en route to a 6-2 home win over Basic on Wednesday.

Mario Ovalle and Miguel Tario each added a goal for the Dragons.

Erving Cabrera scored two second-half goals for the Wolves.

Coronado 1, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, the Cougars won on Jake LeClaire's breakaway goal 11 minutes into the second half.

Coronado goalkeeper Danny Sollitti had seven saves in the shutout.

Foothill 5, Liberty 1 — At Liberty, the Falcons routed the Patriots behind three goals from Christian Volesky.

Drew Suites and Efrain Meza also scored for Foothill, which got two assists each from Suites and Volesky.

Danielle Compan scored on an assist from Mark Madrano in the second half for Liberty’s lone goal.

Arbor View 2, Cimarron-
Memorial 2 —
At Cimarron, Edgar Nava scored on a penalty kick early in the second half to tie the game for the Spartans.

Johnny Mayorga scored twice in the first half to give Arbor View a 2-1 halftime advantage. Scotty Beckwith scored Cimarron’s first-half goal. Mike Cable and Niko Johnson each had an assist for the Aggies. Diego Zacarias had an assist for Cimarron.

Mojave 1, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Mojave’s Carlos Gonzalez scored with about 25 minutes to play to give the Rattlers the tie with the Mustangs.

Cody Tesoro scored in the first half for Shadow Ridge.

Legacy 6, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Julio Uribe scored three goals and the Longhorns blanked Desert Shields.

Ricky Acero, Andrew Salazar and Brandon Candelario each scored a goal for Legacy,  and goalkeeper Edwin Cisneros got the shutout.

Centennial 4, Palo Verde 1 — At Palo Verde, Kevin Rogge scored two goals to lead the Bulldogs to the easy win.

Centennial, which also got one goal each from Oscar Moran and Isaac Ramirez, outscored Palo Verde 3-1 in the second half.

Josh Leiserowitz scored on an assist from Matej Kustera for the lone Palo Verde goal.
