Arbor View boys team captures Northwest Invitational

Jeff Scheurman and Neil Andersen made short work of the Northwest Doubles Invitational field Saturday.

The Arbor View duo lost only 10 games while winning three matches to take first place in the event at Cimarron-
Memorial.

Scheurman and Andersen capped their day by defeating Palo Verde's Jon Row and Josh Levinson in the championship match, 6-3, 6-1.

The Aggie tandem won its quarterfinal match by default, then beat Cimarron's Cameron Tatz and Aaron Bowers, 6-4, 6-2 in the semifinals. Row and Levinson advanced by downing Palo teammates Jeremy Mann and Zach Bellon, 6-4, 6-7(2), 1-0(7) in the semifinals.

Mann and Bellon rebounded to defeat Tatz and Bowers in the third-place match, 6-3, 6-3.
