Woman hospitalized after stabbing in east Las Vegas

Updated June 10, 2020 - 10:38 pm

A 31-year-old woman was hospitalized after being stabbed Wednesday night in the east valley, Las Vegas police said.

Officers were called to the 3800 block of Mountain Vista Street, near East Twain Avenue and Boulder Highway, at 7:23 p.m., and immediately summoned medical help for the woman, who was stabbed in her lower abdomen, according to Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Gordon.

Gordon said a man in his 20s arrived at his ex-girlfriend’s apartment with his parents and friends when a fight ensued. Police believe the man’s father had a knife, but everyone fled the scene after the stabbing.

The woman is in stable condition and is expected to survive.

No arrests had been made as of Wednesday night.
