Police investigate homicide in east Las Vegas Valley

Police are investigating a Saturday night homicide in the east Las Vegas Valley.

At about 10:46 p.m., police received a ShotSpotter notification alerting them to gunfire near Amberleigh Lane and South Mountain Vista Street, according to a Sunday news release.

Officers located a man in a car suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the release, homicide investigators believe the man was sitting in his car when he was shot at by two men, who left the scene before police arrived.

The Clark County coroner’s office will name the man killed after his relatives have been notified. No other information was immediately available.
