A 47-year-old woman was killed in an east Las Vegas crash on Sunday afternoon, police said.

The Metropolitan Police Department said a Mazda 3 was traveling west on East Bonanza Road about 2:45 p.m. when its driver failed to stop at a stop sign, striking a Honda Civic that was headed south on Fogg Street.

The drivers of both cars and an 18-year-old passenger in the Civic were taken to University Medical Center, police said.

The driver of the Civic died at the hospital. The Clark County coroner’s office had not identified her as of Sunday evening.

Her passenger was treated for minor injuries, police said. The driver of the Mazda was treated for moderate injuries.

The crash remained under investigation Sunday night.
