Plan for a calmer, warmer Tuesday

The worst of the winds are over, Las Vegas.
Tuesday's forecast is pleasant compared to the valley's cold and blustery Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday's gusty winds between 45 and 50 mph kept high temperatures about 58 degrees — 8 degrees below normal for this time of year, said meteorologist Barry Pierce.
The weather service predicted parts of the valley would see lows in the mid-30s Tuesday morning, the coolest the valley has seen since Feb. 23, Pierce said.
Winds will linger until Tuesday, but should be weaker. Skies are expected to be mostly clear and the valley will be about 5 degrees warmer, Pierce said.
Temperatures should peak in the low 60s Tuesday, with north winds 10 mph to 15 mph, he said.
Wednesday will see a continuation of the warming trend, with high temperatures in the afternoon expected to reach 65 degrees, Pierce said. Winds should be minimal and the valley should stay sunny and dry, he said.
