Above-average temperatures expected to stay through the week

Above-average temperatures will remain in the Las Vegas Valley at least until Saturday, maybe.

Conditions for this time of year are regularly in the low 80s, the National Weather Service said. The valley has been warmed about 10 degrees above that this weekend.

Sunday's high is forecast to reach 92 degrees, meteorologist Andy Gorelow said.

And don't expect things to change until at least Thursday and Friday, Gorelow said, when you can add a chance of showers to those projections. However, the rain would not cool the valley below the upper 80s.

Things might normalize into the low 80s by Saturday, Gorelow said. But it's too early to tell.
