Property Brothers to sing on new HGTV show

It worked for the Everly Brothers and the Jonas Brothers. Why not the Property Brothers?

Las Vegas-based siblings Jonathan and Drew Scott will perform their first country music singles — "Hold On" and "Let the Night Shine In," which they co-wrote — as part of their new series, "Property Brothers at Home on the Ranch" (9 p.m. Nov. 25, HGTV).

The series will find the brothers renovating a 2,400-acre cattle ranch in Calgary, Alberta, in just 10 weeks.

From the press release: " 'Property Brothers at Home on the Ranch' will feature top-to-bottom renovations of the ranch house — with a full overhaul of the 2,800 square foot log home that includes a new kitchen, dining room, living room, wood-burning fireplace and bathroom with soaker tub. In addition, the Scott brothers will renovate the 500 square foot guest cabin, adding a proper bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and fireplace. They also will restore the eight-stall horse stable by expanding the patio areas, repainting the barn's interior, adding new stalls and redesigning the tack room."

"A lot of people don't know this, but we were ranch kids," Jonathan said in a statement. "We grew up corralling horses, herding cattle and working hard on the farm."

"It's a family affair. Mom, Dad and JD are all here to help," Drew added. "And if you thought last season's reno in Vegas was fun, giddy-up because you ain't seen nothing yet!"

Giddy-up indeed.
