Yoko Ono ‘is fine,’ will likely be released from hospital today

Artist Yoko Ono is resting in a hospital after a case of dehydration and fatigue, her son Sean Ono Lennon tweeted.

Ono was hospitalized Friday evening in New York after experiencing "extreme flu-like" symptoms, her publicist said.

Ono's publicist Elliot Mintz told the New York Daily News that she was merely following a doctor's suggestion to go to the hospital to treat the flu.

"The earlier reports were erroneous,” Mintz said. “There is no stroke and there are no life threatening circumstances as has been described to me.”

Ono's son, with The Beatles' John Lennon, Sean Ono Lennon, took to twitter to set the record straight.

“(It) was NOT a stroke, just dehydration/tired. She is FINE,” Sean tweeted late last night. “Only stroke @yokoono had was a Stroke of Genius! :-) She’s really fine."

According to the New York Daily News, Mintz said he spoke with someone at the hospital who reassured him that Ono was alert and speaking and could be released as early as Saturday.
