Rejoice, Las Vegans! Temperatures in the valley are expected to stay below 100 degrees through the end of the week, according to the National Weather Service.
"Saturday is going to be the last really hot day for a while," meteorologist Justin Pullin said Saturday morning. Temperatures reached 105 degrees just before 4 p.m.
Sunday's forecast will bring "big changes," he forecast. That's when remnants of Hurricane Linda are expected to push moisture into the region.
A small storm crept through parts of Mount Charleston Saturday afternoon, bringing dime-sized hail to the Mary Jane Falls Trailhead. It didn't make it into the valley.
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is predicted for the valley, which will keep afternoon high temperatures about 97 degrees, Pullin said. Lows Sunday night should dip to about 79 degrees.
Monday and Tuesday should see a continuation of Sunday's forecast, Pullin said, with highs in the high 80s to low 90s but no storms.
Later in the week, temperatures are expected to stick right around the average of 93 degrees for this time of year.
