6 lesser-known Wes Craven films you should see — VIDEO

Wes Craven died on Sunday at the age of 76, leaving behind a legacy of screams like no other in the film world. Craven, who died after a battle with brain cancer, became a legendary horror filmmaker with the "Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Scream" franchises.

Beyond the multiple films that came along with both franchises, Craven was at the helm for a series of other films — some so terrifying they're hard to watch, some that influenced horror filmmakers of the next generation and one that gave Meryl Street an Academy Award.

Beyond the "Nightmare" marathon you should have this weekend, here are six of Craven's lesser-known films you should binge as well. Many are available for streaming or on YouTube.
