Las Vegas man becomes first winner of ‘American Ninja Warrior’

After seven seasons, Isaac Caldiero is the first finalist to complete the third and final stage of the "American Ninja Warrior" — a 75-foot rope climb.

The episode where Caldiero scaled it aired last night on NBC. Caldiero lives in Las Vegas with his girlfriend, Laura Kisana, who is also a competitor on the show.

The competition was filmed in Las Vegas in June with the best-of-the-best competitors flown in from around the country to accept the Ninja challenge.

The finals began airing Aug. 31.

Over the three stages of Mount Midoriyama, the name of the final course, athletes complete grueling tasks that range from seemingly impossible jumps to daunting climbs.

Only a few have even made it to stage three in the history of the show.
