North Las Vegas pedestrian struck, killed by car

A man died Tuesday evening after being struck by a sedan in North Las Vegas.

The North Las Vegas Police Department said a pedestrian was struck by a Lexus sedan around 6:48 p.m. while crossing the street outside of a crosswalk on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Brooks Street.

Police found the pedestrian suffering from an apparent head injuries. Medical personnel provided him medical aid, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Officers said they did not believe the Lexus driver was impaired at the time of the crash.

The pedestrian’s identity, along with the cause and manner of death, will be shared by the Clark County coroner’s office at a later date.

Police said anyone with information about the crash is encouraged to call North Las Vegas police at 702-633-9111.
