99 Words About … a tale of two sports channels

Now this is how you launch a sports channel.

When it debuts Thursday, the SEC Network will be on Cox (channels 335 and 1335), DirecTV (611) and Dish (408).

The new Dodgers channel is still relegated to small pockets of L.A.

The SEC Network promises 45 football games, 160 basketball games, 75 baseball games, 50 softball games, 40 volleyball games and 25 soccer games from 14 schools.

SportsNet LA has the Dodgers.

So why do we get just one?

According to reports, the SEC Network sought 25 cents per month for every local customer while SportsNet LA wants $4-$5.
