58-year-old inmate dies at High Desert State Prison

A 58-year-old inmate with a chronic medical condition died Sunday at the High Desert State Prison, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

David Mireles was incarcerated Aug. 28 and was serving 10 years for burglary and five years to life for sexual assault, according to a Tuesday press release from the corrections department.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Clark County coroner’s office, the department said.
