Two accidents near Craig Road limit traffic

Two Saturday morning vehicle collisions had one northwest valley road down to one lane of traffic.

Las Vegas police responded to the first accident at 7:53 a.m. on Craig Road just west of Rainbow Boulevard. The two-car collision resulted in minor injuries.

The second incident at 8:13 a.m. involved a patrol vehicle that had responded to the scene. Police were blocking off two lanes of westbound Craig Road to investigate the accident when a female driver traveling eastbound crossed the median into the opposite direction of traffic, narrowly missing an officer on foot and hit a patrol car.

There were no injuries sustained in the second accident and westbound Craig reopened about 9:30 a.m.
