Police seek help finding Brinks robbery suspect

Las Vegas police are seeking help in identifying the man who robbed a Brinks armored truck in March.

On March 9, a man with a weapon robbed a Brinks armored truck driver in the 1700 block of North Decatur Boulevard, Metro Sgt. Steve Junge said.

The suspect approached the driver, pulled out a firearm and took an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. The suspect is described as a black male in his late 30s to early 40s and 5 feet 9 inches tall with a stocky build.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Robberty Section at 702-828-3855 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.

Brinks also is offering a reward up to a $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the crime. Persons with information can call the security manager at 916-343-2856.
