Pair in their 90s airlifted to hospital after Route 159 rollover

Two people, ages 92 and 95, were taken to University Medical Center after an accident near Spring Mountain Ranch State Park Wednesday afternoon.

Nevada Highway Patrol responded to state Route 159 near Mile Marker 6 about 2 p.m. where a GMC Envoy was on its side, according to trooper Loy Hixson.

The man and woman were trapped inside the SUV when NHP arrived. Both were airlifted to the hospital, but their conditions are unknown at this time.

State Route 159 near Mile Marker 6 was closed in both directions for over an hour, but re-opened at 3:12 p.m., Hixson said.
