Race 2 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $21,000, Claiming $12,500, 3-year-olds and up

6 Silver Wings - On the class rise off a sharp win over softer foes; claimed by Ron Ellis two races ago.

8 Truelee Scrappin - Tepid chalk in a day full of wide open races; Mike Mitchell drop down must be respected.

Long Shot - 5 Sandys Diamond

Race 3 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $24,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, 2-year-olds

6 Takem by Surprise - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; his race two back was a good one.

11 Muck N Grind - Speedball fits the profile of this young rider F Perez; as long as he breaks OK, he’ll send from the get go.

3 Candy Boy - John Sadler takes the blinkers off for this; showed good improvement from debut to second career start.

9 Gift Exchange - Tom Proctor barn has been red hot this meet; Gary Stevens is one of his go to riders.

8 Zuboff - Claimed by Peter Miller and spotted nicely to win first out; has tons of back class to handle this motley crew.

9 Trelawny - Was unlucky to be DQ’d from a win two races ago; was overmatched in last, these are his friends tonight.

Long Shot - 3 Major Magic

Race 6 - 7 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up

2 Know More - Dead late closer drops way down in class in search of victory; Doug O’Neill never afraid to drop horses to win.

1 Woodmans Luck - Been gelded since running in the Cal Cup Classic a year ago; cuts back in distance in return run.

Long Shot - 10 Change of Plan

1 Bella Viaggia - Heavy favorite has a near perfect record with just first and seconds; speed to protect her inside post.

8 Ismene - Was scratched from a tougher stakes for this; will get a cozy outside post to clock the early speed.

13 Life a Riley - Must stay in the body from this parking lot post; claimed by master horse trader Bill Spawr.

4 Master Chef - He loves Santa Anita and Kristin Mulhall knew that when she made the claim; definitely a horse for the course.

Long Shot - 9 Passing Game

Race 9 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $51,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

8 Turn On the Pumps - Carla Gaines regained the operation of her barn; with five seconds, has been pounding on the door.

14 Bench Light - Must draw in off the also eligible; he clearly fits on the class drop, but must overcome a parking lot post.

Long Shot - 5 Empty Headed

Race 10 - 6 furlongs, Purse $48,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 2-year-olds

4 Pray Hard - Just missed in a game try last time; showed big improvement in that race and could improve more today.

3 California Jade - Did everything but win first out with blinkers on; another logical contender with a step improvement.
