Metro narcotics, SWAT bust marijuana grow house in west valley

Just a day before high holiday “4/20,” narcotics and SWAT officers with the Metropolitan Police Department found several marijuana plants inside a west valley home after serving a search warrant Tuesday afternoon.

The Peccole Ranch home at 10001 Garamound Ave. — just east of Faith Lutheran Middle School and High School, near Charleston Boulevard and Hualapai Way — was searched about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Metro Lt. Michael Mauntel said.

The search lasted into the evening, and inside police found 3 pounds of finished product and more than 50 plants.

As of 10:30 p.m., an arrest was pending.
