Drive-in offers free admission tonight

Given the prevalence of smartphones, tablets and those screens in the back of every other minivan, watching a movie in your car isn’t the novelty it once was.

But there’s still nothing quite like the drive-in.

Moviegoers can see that for themselves tonight. For free.

The Las Vegas 5 Drive-In, 4150 W. Carey Ave., is hosting its customer appreciation night with complimentary screenings of “Wreck It Ralph,” “Jack the Giant Slayer” and “Fast Five.”

Live music, bounce houses and other activities are scheduled before the movies.

Gates open at 6 p.m. with the movies starting at dusk.
