Fountains at Bellagio named No. 1 landmark

Bellagio’s fountains have done it again.

The MGM Resorts International property’s most famous feature was named as the No. 1 landmark in the U.S. by TripAdvisor. The Las Vegas treasure beat out Gettysburg National Military Park, the USS Arizona Memorial in Honolulu, and the Top of the Rock Observation Deck in New York City for the top spot.

TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Attractions awards are based on millions of reviews and opinions from site users. In its inaugural year, the awards honor 1,263 of the world’s top landmarks, parks, museums and amusement and water parks.

The awards were determined based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews of attractions, featured on the site, in each of the categories.

Worldwide, the Bellagio fountains ranked No. 12, with the top spot in that category going to Machu Picchu in Machu Picchu, Peru.
